Register to an exceptional training session!
From 13th to 15th February 2019, CEFA Aviation will be offering a training session on flight data visualization and analysis for safety management so that you become an expert in the usage of the CEFA FAS software.
This training session completes a course of the University of Southern California (USC) about “data for safety management” organized from 18th to 22nd February 2019 – more info here.
You can register for both or to only one of the courses. Click here to be part of it!
This course will be held by Carlos Ricarte, Director R&D at CEFA Aviation. The course combines instruction, real-life examples and hands-on exercises so that trainees walk away with the knowledge they need to get the most out of visualization solutions. Don’t miss this opportunity in Los Angeles, California!

Training course content: first-hand experience for aviation safety management
CEFA Aviation 3-day session will focus on how to utilize flight data and its leading technology to create training/safety materials to help pilots:
- brief on new and challenging airports,
- debrief on unusual flights and SOP deviations,
- help management gather more insight about operational risk areas
- and will assist the safety professionals to better investigate the root causes of operational incidents/events.
The objective of the USC’s ‘Data for Safety Management’ course is to provide first-hand experience in the collection and analysis of safety critical flight data & to create an understanding of the basics of Flight Data Analysis, how Flight Data Analysis contributes to a SMS (Safety Management System), and how Flight Data Analysis can result in positive improvements in aviation safety performance.
This course will present the basics of flight data analysis based upon real-time flight information as well as opportunities to analyze collective flight data as would be utilized by a commercial aircraft operator. The course will present CEFA Aviation’s latest animation technology to depict flight profiles and examine other sources of data including video and air traffic control data that may be used in creating a data-based safety case.
